Why this exists
When Isabel Price, IBCLC, visits a family at home, the dad is often right there: refilling water, holding the baby, asking good questions, and wondering what else he can do. The answer is a lot. This site collects it in one place, in short pieces you can read between feeds.
Almost everything here comes back to one idea: one of the best things a new dad can do for his baby is to take care of the baby's mother. Feed her, protect her sleep, run the house, notice how she's really doing, and know when to call for help.
Who's behind it
Fatherhood Begins is a property of Motherhood Begins LLC. Isabel Price is an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant with hospital, NICU, and private-practice experience, and she visits families across the Austin area in English and Spanish.
